Does it matter what medical condition or allergy I have?
No, you can engrave anything you’d like. For example, you can engrave "Diabetic”, or "Allergic to penicillin.” Anything that a medical technician would benefit to know in treating you in an emergency situation.
How do I know what size of bracelet to order?
Take a measuring tape and measure your wrist at its smallest point. Take a true wrist measurement-not too tight or too loose. Then, add 1 inch to that measurement. these bracelets do NOT fit like the average bracelet. Remember, the tag does not bend. So, you will need to add an inch to your wrist measurement. Be sure to measure carefully as there is a $5 return shipping and handling fee.
Are they interchangeable?
Interchangeable Medical ID Bracelets have two clasps that hook onto the Medical ID Tag. You need to merely unclasp the tag and re-clasp it to the new bracelet.
How should I wear my Medical ID Bracelet?
We have been informed by paramedics that you should wear your Medical ID Bracelet on your left arm as that is the arm they normally use to check your pulse.
Can I order a specific Medical ID Tag?
Yes, all of our tags are special order and start at $5.00. The charge to engrave includes a $6 set up fee and $2.00 per line. Each line holds up to 20 spaces or characters per line and each tag holds up to five lines.
What happens if my bracelet does not fit or breaks?
All of our bracelets have a six month guarantee. If it breaks for any reason, we will re-strand it for free one time. After the six month period, the charge is $10.00 plus a $5 shipping and handling fee. If you ordered the wrong size, return it to us along with the $5 return shipping and handling fee and instructions as to the size you need.
Should I wear my bracelet in the shower or while swimming?
It is NOT recommended that you wear it while swimming or showering.
What materials are the bracelets made out of? Does the wire stretch?
All of our beads are 14Kt gold filled and sterling silver. The actual Medical ID Tag is stainless steel. The bracelets are strung on jewelry wire, so they will NOT stretch. All of our bracelets are custom made to fit. This is why it is important to measure your wrist.
